Tamara O'Callaghan is an accomplished Australian contemporary Singer and Performer. Considering herself a three-dimensional vocalist this young Brisbane born musician has the ability to seamlessly sing between styles including Jazz, Theatre and popular music. After graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Tamara has begun to develop her own unique Jazz style and sound from her many influences and experiences as a performing artist.
Tamara has forged a musical career that is already well established at corporate functions and both private and public events. Performance highlights include appearances at the Brisbane Jazz Club, Brisbane City Hall, the Brisbane Polo Club, the Brisbane and Gold Coast Convention Centres, QPAC and the Queen St Mall. Tamara was one of the featured vocal jazz artists in the 2010 Brisbane Festival and the 2012 and 2013 Broadbeach Jazz Festival. In addition she has been the featured artist for QPAC Green Jam event several times from 2011 to 2014. In May 2014 Tamara created the PINK SUNSET Jazz charity event to raise funding for Breast and Bowel Cancer research and raised over $1000 worth of donations. As the event was so successful it was held again in 2015.
In addition to these achievements, Tamara was a featured artist at the acclaimed New York Jazz Club Birdland at the beginning of 2016. She has performed internationally at the No Black Tie Jazz Club in Malaysia, Fete De La Musique festival in Paris and on Royal Street in New Orleans. In 2015 Tamara performed as a contestant on the hit TV show the VOICE Australia as well as touring to Turkey in August to perform at the world premiere of the Gallipoli Symphony in Istanbul. During this tour the ensemble continued on to perform at ANZAC Cove at Gallipoli for the 100 year anniversary of the battle of Lone Pine.
